As Chad Johnson notes above, HIMSS13 is not only a convener of healthcare professionals, but a convention of educated patients who share their stories and knowledge to aim toward a better healthcare system. HIMSS13 presents an opportunity for the intersection of patient engagement with adjacent topics like
social media, meaningful use and mobility to be more fully realized and discussed.
