Friday, Feb. 1, HIMSS participated in the weekly #HITsm chat around patient engagement and HIMSS13 that will be taking place 10 days from now in New Orleans.
As Chad Johnson notes above, HIMSS13 is not only a convener of healthcare professionals, but a convention of educated patients who share their stories and knowledge to aim toward a better healthcare system. HIMSS13 presents an opportunity for the intersection of patient engagement with adjacent topics like social media , meaningful use and mobility to be more fully realized and discussed.
